You are invited to a guided tour and closing of the exhibition ENCHANTED BRATISLAVA with the artist Filip Bielek and curator Miroslava Urbanová on October 31 at 5:00 PM.
The exhibition Enchanted Bratislava aims to highlight the challenges in understanding and shaping public space in Slovakia since 1989, both from architectural and urbanistic perspectives. Public interest often loses out in this process to private investment agendas. The reality of bizarre new constructions sprouting across Slovakia, particularly in our capital city, has already become a sort of historical layer—formally and conceptually emptied—which raises the question: who truly owns public space? All of us, or just a select few who manipulate it as they see fit? Who is its real master?
The activities of FOR MAAT gallery are supported by public funding from the Slovak Arts Council, the main partner of the project.
